2024 VAULT (Available for mirrors Winter 2024)

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce that the writing teams for 2024 WARRIOR and 2024 SUPERNOVAS have merged to create 2024 VAULT (Virginia And Upper ILlinois Tournament). This set will consist of 12 packets aimed at regs+ difficulty (Specifically, 2023 DART III) and 2 "finals" packets aimed around the difficulty of the preliminary rounds of 2024 PACE NSC. Tossups will be powermarked and will roughly be between 600 and 650 characters (aimed at around 7 lines of 11 pt Palatino font) whereas the three part bonuses will be limited to 8 cumulative lines excluding answers.

This set will be Head Edited by Jacob O’Rourke, and our editors and writers are as follows: Rohan Kher, Teigue Kelly, Akshar Goyal, Soren Gjesfjeld, Cavan Gabaldon O'Neill, Neal Joshi, Vikram Narasimhan, Henry Pan, Jeffrey Xu, Jamie Burchett, Akshath Sivachidhambaram, Caden Zhang, Ethan Ma, Ryan Zhang, Hariharan Ananthakrishnan, Samuel Li, Andrew Huang, Mira Zatzenbloom, Salil Pakti, and Alex Engel.

The mirror fee for this set will be $18 per team that attends your mirror. This mirror fee will be reduced to $16 per team if you can send conversion statistics (through TJsheets or MODAQ) in addition a complete statistics report posted to the hsquizbowl website within one week of tournament completion.

This set will be available for mirrors beginning in February (please email me if you have questions about a specific date) and will likely remain available for a year, or for as long as interest remains. We feel the target difficulty of this set is ideal for both teams that are seeking to prep for SSNCT/HSNCT/PACE or are looking for a higher difficulty set to round out the season.
