ACRONYM 18 and Super ACRONYM 5: Global Announcements

In a move described by many as "inevitable," Play Quiz Bowl is excited to announce two sets for next year: ACRONYM 18 and Super ACRONYM 5, our easy and hard-level pop culture sets, respectively.

Distribution

ACRONYM 18 will be about the same as last year, with a slight change to how the music is split up:

4/4 Movies (2/2 2015-present, 2/2 older than that)
4/4 "Small Screen" (2/2 TV 2015-present, 1/1 older TV, 1/1 Web/Other)
4/4 Music (2/2 2015-present and 2/2 Older, with each split evenly between "Pop/R&B/Rap" and "Rock/Other")
4/4 Sports (1/1 football, 1/1 basketball, .75/.75 baseball, 1.25/1.25 other/multi)
1/1 Video Games
1/1 Trash Lit
2/2 Other/Miscellaneous

Super ACRONYM 5 is the same as the last one of those:

4/4 Movies (split evenly between the ~2000s and earlier)
4/4 TV (same split as above)
4/4 Music (1/1 each of pop, rock, rap/r&b and other/multi)
4/4 Sports (1/1 each of baseball, football, basketball, and other/multi)
1/1 Video Games
1/1 Trash Lit
2/2 Other/Miscellaneous

When?

We're working on these sets more or simultaneously, with A18 releasing in February and SA5 in July. Reach out to me if you want to run a mirror of either of these!

Any insight on the Date/time/location of the Minnesota Open mirror of ACRONYM 18 for this year?

As always, Northern Michigan is very interested in playing in the Twin Cities mirror.

As always, Saturday is a lot easier for us than Sunday, given the 6.5 hour drive, the fact that we're on Eastern time, and the fact that Monday's a School Day.
