2025 WAO III at UC Berkeley

UC Berkeley is pleased to announce that we will be hosting 2025 WAO III here on Sunday March 16th, 2025. The opening meeting will be at 8:50 am and the tournament will begin at 9:00 am. Please direct any questions about this tournament to anuttamr AT berkeley DOT edu.

Tournament and Eligibility
The tournament will take place in-person at UC Berkeley in Soda Hall. This is an open tournament, so everyone is eligible to play.

Registration
Here is an unofficial team formation sheet. The initial field cap is 4 teams, though we may expand if there is sufficient interest from players and staffers. To officially register, please email anuttamr AT berkeley DOT edu with subject "Registration for WAO III at Berkeley" and the following information:
1) roster
2) the number of buzzers you will be bringing if any
3) the emails of any staffers you will be providing

Anyone interested in staffing and unaffiliated with a team should email me at anuttamr AT berkeley DOT edu to sign up to moderate, and will be paid $40 for the day.

Fees
Tournament fees/discounts are the following:
$120 per team
-$60 if shorthanded
-$15 per buzzer system
-$40 per moderator with laptop
-$5 per person that travels 70 or more miles
Minimum fee: $60 per team

We will accept payment in the form of Venmo, Paypal, check, or cash.
