Quizbowl Motivation

Hey everyone!

This is kinda random but I was wondering if anyone in the community had good motivation for quizbowl. Something to maybe get a team going in the morning or pump them up after a loss. Thank you and happy quizbowling!

As an elite player leading your team, you need to be the one motivating your teammates. Go after every single question like a dog and the rest of your pack will follow. Aiden Dartley is the epitome of this mindset. After losing the first finals match of 2022 NASAT to Illinois Blue, Aiden legendarily went absolutely feral, repeating "play time play time" over and over again while on all fours. This gave New Jersey A the edge needed to win the subsequent match and secure the title.

Scream “vamos” before your game and the spirit of Rafael Nadal will guide you along, even in quizbowl (he is omnipresent, he can separate his spirit from his body at any given time)

Jokes aside, I think the best way for this is probably try lightening the mood and maybe drink something before a tournament, and after a loss don’t think about the loss but think about the next game and try to win that, you can’t do anything about a loss after you’ve lost but you can do something about a game before you’ve played
