Post by CSQuizJags »

Seeing as some GA schools are posting their tournaments...

Most of these are based on the traditional weekends. As it stands now...

Oct 25- Northeast Georgia NAQT Championships (For schools in the NEGA RESA)
Nov 8- JV Jaguar Bowl (grades 10 and under- middle schools welcome)
Jan 31, 2009- Bulldog Brawl at Cedar Shoals (Varsity)
Feb 28, 2009- Jag Bowl III (Varsity)- week before GATA State, also at Cedar Shoals (Mar 6-7)
Apr 25 OR May 2, 2009- Mohammed Massaquoi Memorial Hybrid (OPEN)

Obviously, we'll post each one indivdually as we get closer. All prices and discount offers will remain the same.

What format will the Bulldog Brawl be using, and will it be a HSNCT qualifier?

From what I remember, last year, it consisted of untimed 20-question NAQT rounds with no power marks or negs. Two part bonuses were used. There were five prelim rounds, and a sixteen team single-elimination playoff.

It is an HSNCT qualifier.

78A is the same set assigned to the nearby Wofford tournament. Since Wofford is free and funds are short for a new program, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will probably go there if forced to choose. Any way you could get a different set?

Chad,

We're trying to. It seems NEGA Bowl, Walton (which we now may or may not get to go to), Wofford, (maybe) Shorter and God knows who else around here are using or plan (or hope) to use 78A. I still havent heard from our local teams, but they meet today at the RESA and I have an inside guy who will talk it up. Stay tuned...
