Booster Shot @ Brown

I am pleased to announce that Brown Quizbowl will be hosting a mirror of Booster Shot on April 27, 2024. The tournament will be held at Brown University in the Barus and Holley building (184 Hope St.) and directed by myself, Jason Hong. The opening meeting will begin at 9:30 AM. Please direct any questions about this tournament to [email protected], or post them here on the forums.

Rules:
This is a closed tournament - all players on a team should attend the same college or university.

Payment:
The fee structure for each team is the following:
- Base fee: $120 USD
- Buzzer discount: -$10 / working buzzer set
- Approved moderator discount: -$15 / staffer with laptop
- Travel discount: -$10 per 200 miles one way (according to Google Maps)
- Shorthanded discount (1-2 person team): -$45
- Minimum fee: $50 USD

The field will initially be capped at 10, which may be expanded depending on staffers and interest. Any teams above the cap will be placed on a waitlist.
