2024 IQBT Collegiate Quiz Bowl Novice - 3/30, 4/13, or 4/27

International Quiz Bowl Tournaments, LLC is pleased to work with the team behind the 2023 British Novice set to bring the set to the United States for use at collegiate novice tournaments on the weekends of March 30 & April 13. This is intended to be an easy, 1 dot set.

Eric Mukherjee will be our Chief North Americanizer as we review the questions for differences in content and replace questions as needed.

The mirror fee will be $50 per team; $30 of this will go to the original writing & editing team.

I will be personally making calls to recruit teams as sites are announced.

We'd like to have sites across the country; given the dates' closeness to ICT & ACF nationals, we'd encourage more sites than usual so they can be closer together and make travel easier for teams.

We'll be using the eligibility rules for ACF Fall, with modifications bolded.

Any player that has previously met at least one of these criteria are ineligible to compete at a IQBT College Quiz Bowl Novice site.

• Scored more than 60 PPG in the prelims of a college tournament
• Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 15% of the field, rounded up, at a non-novice college tournament
• Scored more than 60 PP20TUH in the prelims of HSNCT or 60 PPG in the prelims of PACE NSC
• Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 30 at HSNCT or top 10 at PACE NSC
• Finished in the top 12 in IPNCT
• Scored more than 20 PPG in the prelims of ACF Nationals

After a suggestion from Adam Swift, I've updated the first two points of eligibility to:

"*Scored more than 60 PPG in the prelims of a college tournament
"*Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 15% of the field, rounded up, at a non-novice college tournament"

I'm open to having tournaments on the 27th as well, and am actively looking for an online TD for one to be held on the weekend of the 27th.
