The River Hill High School It's Academic Club is thrilled to announce the 2nd ever River Hill Invitational on April 6th, 2024 at River Hill High School (12101 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029).

Question Set & Rules: The 2024 RHI will be using the SCOP Novice 13 for this tournament with standard -5 negs, +15 powers, and no bouncebacks on bonuses. Teams will be set to a maximum of 6 players per team, 4 of whom may play at once. No one may switch teams during the tournament, such as from "A" to "B" or otherwise.

Requirements: Each school MUST bring one buzzer set in order to compete. There will also be a base registration fee of $80. $5 discounts will be provided per ADDITIONAL buzzer set per TEAM brought to the tournament, with a minimum registration fee of $60/team. Payment will be due the morning of the tournament via cash or check. Each school may register no more than 4 teams total.

Field/Format: The 2024 RHI will have two divisions (Upper/Lower) capped at 12 teams each. The morning will have 3 rounds and the afternoon will have 5. There will not be additional playoff rounds.

Food: We will release a form to registered teams if they'd like to buy pizza from us which will be delivered directly to the tournament after the morning rounds. There are also multiple restaurants within walking distance from the school.

Timings: The first round will begin at 9:00 AM, with an opening meeting at 8:45 AM and registration beginning at 8:30 AM. We will break for lunch around 12 PM for approximately an hour.
