Hello everyone,
The Glasgow High School Academic Team is pleased to announce the 6th iteration of "The Scottie," a GHS house-write for high school teams that is played every year on the third Saturday in September. This year's event will take place in person at Glasgow High School (1601 Columbia Avenue, Glasgow KY 42141) on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

For the past several years, Glasgow has hosted an awesome field including the very best programs in Kentucky as well as multiple top 25 programs from the SouthEast and Ohio Valley. The Scottie is a high school regular difficulty PLUS event, so it is not recommended that you play the Scottie with players or teams that are not experienced. The Scottie is patterned after the PACE NSC and includes bounceback bonuses, powerers (15 instead of 20 points) and no negs. The tournament has always received PACE Platinum status and we expect that to continue this year, so the top 25% of the field would receive an invitation to the 2023 PACE National Championship.

Our chief editors remain:
Myself, Todd Garrison - Head Coach of the GHS Academic Team (2011 - present)
Tyler Reid (chief editor) - Former Scottie and player for the University of Kentucky
Olivia Kiser - Former Scottie and player for the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois (Urbana)
Jason Dooley - Associate Head Coach of the GHS Academic Team

Our writers this year include:
Ayog Prasad - University of Louisville - Biology, Chemistry, Lit, Myth
Trevor Wells - University of Kentucky - History, Physics, general
Robert Oliver - GHS Senior - Literature, Arts, Thought
Griffin Reid - GHS Senior - History, Arts, Thought
Caleb West - GHS Senior - Science, Music
Todd Garrison - General - non-Science
Jason Dooley - Literature, general
Garrison Page - Physics, Literature

The Scottie will feature 13 packets including 20 tossups and 20 bonuses plus a 14th packet for tiebreakers/replacement questions.
