The Hyatt Regency O'Hare

Post by meebles127 »

  • Airports west of the Mississippi are located on the street-level floor of the conference center.
  • Airports east of the Mississippi are located on the lobby-level floor of the conference center.
  • Almost all other rooms are located one floor below street-level in the International Center
  • Notable Exceptions: North Central, United, and Rosemont, are on the street level floor.

The International Airports are on the International Level.

There are notably some non-international airports on that floor.

I like the Hyatt because the interior looks like the central axis around which quizbowl revolves.

My power ranking of the hardest rooms to find:

1) Old PBX (not on the floorplan as far as I can tell)*
2) Tech Center (non-international airport on the international level)
3) Directors (out of the way from all the other rooms, on the way to the 2XXX rooms)
4) O'Hare Private Dining (the location near the restaurant may be obvious to some but I think people have difficulty finding the entrance)
5) O'Hare (not with the other eastern airports, around the restaurant)

*I looked up a floor plan and Old PBX is not on it. I remember searching endlessly for it when trying to setup buzzers at the 2015 HSNCT, and recall it being on the entrance floor, behind the escalators and elevators, on the far end of the floor.
