CARROT hosted by Chattahoochee HS (4/9/22 - DART II Southeast) (Online)

Chattahoochee High School is pleased to announce CARROT, Chattahoochee’s Academically RigoRous Online Tournament, our DART II mirror.

Our tournament will be held on April 9th, 2022, online (either Discord or Zoom, to be announced closer to the date). Teams in GA, AL, FL, SC, and TN are eligible to compete. Teams outside these states are encouraged to play in their own regional mirrors, but exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis.

Format:
We are expecting to cap field size at 18 teams.
Each team will play preliminary rounds in the morning and playoff rounds in the afternoon.
The rules/format of the tournament are subject to change depending on how large the field is.
We are planning to keep individual stats.

Cost:
The cost will be $70 per team. Payment information will be sent to the emails under which teams register.
A $10 discount will be offered to any teams that can provide an experienced reader (well-versed in reading for online tournaments, using Zoom/Discord/Buzzin.live, etc.)

Rules:
We will be using DART II, a Hard High School level question set. More information can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=109&t=25200&p=385183

Each team may bring up to 6 players, but only 4 will play at a time.
Rounds are 20/20 with one tiebreaker tossup if needed. There will be powers (15) and negs (-5). Four players are allowed per team. We will not use bouncebacks, and substitutes are allowed after each game only.

Cheating & Misconduct
We expect that all players, coaches, and staffers in this tournament adhere to PACE’s Code of Conduct, which can be found here: http://www.pace-nsc.org/nsc-code-of-conduct/. We will not tolerate harassment or cheating of any form and will take action against any suspected perpetrators of misconduct.

Teams should expect to have camera and mic capabilities during play, and players will be required to show one hand on camera at all times.
