**Due to university scheduling issues, the date for this tournament has been pushed back to April 16th, one week from the initial date**
The deadline to pay is April 11th
Hey everyone! This upcoming April 16th (a Saturday), the UAB Blazing Quiz Bowl team will be hosting a novice trash tournament! The distribution of questions is below, and we will be writing our own. The tournament style is going to be round robin with a pre-determined schedule. The tournament is open to UG and up, as well as outside teams.
Movies 2.5/2.5
TV 2.5/2.5
Music 2.5/2.5
Sports 1/1
Video Games 2.5/2.5
Internet Culture 2.5/2.5
Events 2.5/2.5
Other/Misc. 4/4
We plan to have it on campus (more details to come) in UAB's Heritage Hall, but have to wait until UAB updates their rules and guidelines regarding COVID-19 to know if it can be in-person for sure. We have a back-up plan to have it online, however, so either way: this tournament is happening!
It is a $70 per team buy in, with a $40 minimum. Teams get a $15 discount per set of buzzers they bring (max 2 discounts), and a $10 discount for each reader/moderator they supply (max 3 discounts).
