Hunter College High School is excited to announce the thirteenth iteration of Prison Bowl, our annual housewrite. The set will be available for mirrors from March 21st, 2020 onward and will also be available during the fall of the 2020-21 season. If you are interested in mirroring the set or have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
Prison Bowl is a regs+/nats- set that will consist of 13 packets of 20 power-marked pyramidal tossups, 20 three-part bonuses, and an extra tiebreaker tossup and bonus. Each tossup will be 550-650 characters long and each full bonus totaling at most 8 lines in 10 point Times New Roman font. The set will be written and edited by the Hunter College High School quiz bowl team.
Aside from standard quiz bowl answer lines, the set will also feature some original common-link questions, descriptive answer-lines, and cross-categorical/interdisciplinary questions. We hope that these non-conventional questions will keep veteran players interested. However, less experienced players will get and learn stuff as well.

We are happy to announce that, since all mirrors at the end of last year were cancelled due to the pandemic, Prison Bowl XIII will be available to use for mirrors throughout the entirety of the 2020-21 season. Hosts are welcome to use the set for traditional full-day tournaments or league-style events. Please email us at [email protected] with mirror requests or any questions!
