For my trash team, I still need teammates, for Bruce Arthur has respectfully declined. Chris Ray and Jeremy Eaton, do you still need teammates? If so, could I be on your team? I think that I could still find a fourth player from the Chicago area in the next month. With our partial teams merged, another team could be entered.

With the tournament about two weeks away, I want to try to finalize the field. As of now, I know of the following teams:

1. Susan, Ed, Mike Sorice, Andrew Ullsperger
2. Matt Weiner, Mike Bentley, Matt Lafer, Ryan Westbrook
3. Bryce Durgin et al. (not sure if this is a four-person team)
4. Chris Ray, Jeremy Eaton, etc. (did Rom, or anyone else, join this team?)
5. Eric Douglass, Bryn Reinecke, Evan Silberman, Evan Nagler
6. Quentin Roper, Carsten Gehring, Trevor Davis (not sure if they have a fourth)
7. Kelly Tourdot, Andrew Hart, Rob Carson, Trygve Meade
8. Guy Tabachnick, Charlie Dees, Christian Carter, Eric Kwartler
9. Jacob Durst, Andy Sekerak, etc. (not sure if this is a four-person team)
10. Greg Sorenson, Jeremy White, Brian Hight, Colby
11. Michael Knapp, Chris Sienko, maybe others (not sure if this is a four-person team)
12. Chris Borglum, Amy Harvey, Lane Silberstein, Sean Platzer
13. Ahmad Ragab, Jim Baker, Billy Beyer
14. Dan Passner and Lorin Burte, maybe
15. Michael Kearney, Chris Hendry, Megan Clancy (possibly a fourth also)

I do not know which team, if any, Arnav has joined. Also, I don't know whether that Passner/Burte team is actually coming.

Obviously, I'd prefer to have an even number of teams. If Passner/Burte doesn't exist, then 14 teams will work fine. Otherwise, if any of the apparent two-person teams want to combine forces, that would be great. Please let me know if you aren't a full team and are interested in merging with another non-full team.

Also, I know of the following people who have expressed interest in staffing:

Me
Jerry
Seth Teitler
Gautam Kandlikar
Donald Taylor
Kathleen Kuo
possibly Ray Sun
possibly Selene

We could probably use another couple of staffers. If you're going to be around for the CO weekend and want to be involved with this tournament, please contact me (again, it's adyaphe at gmail dot com).

As I'm sticking around for SS/Phil doubles afterward, I'd be happy to staff.

I still do not know whether Mike Bentley, Jeremy Eaton, and Chris Ray need me as a fourth player. I could form a sixteenth team with Brendan Byrne, or I could round out Bryce Durgin's team. If all else fails, I will arrive on that Sunday morning in case there is a no-show. Should anybody need to complete his team with a movie expert, you may e-mail me at [email protected]

Hope you had a safe Fourth of July,

OK, with one team dropping and the Passner team confirmed, we now have a very convenient 14 team field. I'd like to stick at this number, so if anyone else is planning to drop, please let me know ASAP.

1. Susan, Ed, Mike Sorice, Andrew Ullsperger
2. Matt Weiner, Mike Bentley, Matt Lafer, Ryan Westbrook
3. Bryce Durgin et al. (not sure if this is a four-person team)
4. Chris Ray, Jeremy Eaton, etc. (did Rom, or anyone else, join this team?)
5. Eric Douglass, Bryn Reinecke, Evan Silberman, Evan Nagler
6. Quentin Roper, Carsten Gehring, Trevor Davis (not sure if they have a fourth)
7. Andrew Hart, Rob Carson, Trygve Meade, Arnav
8. Guy Tabachnick, Charlie Dees, Christian Carter, Eric Kwartler
9. Greg Sorenson, Jeremy White, Brian Hight, Colby
10. Michael Knapp, Chris Sienko, maybe others (not sure if this is a four-person team)
11. Chris Borglum, Amy Harvey, Lane Silberstein, Sean Platzer
12. Ahmad Ragab, Jim Baker, Billy Beyer
13. Dan Passner, Lorin Burte, someone named Harry
14. Michael Kearney, Chris Hendry, Megan Clancy (possibly a fourth also)

Thanks to Eric Mukherjee, Jonathan Magin, and Bruce Arthur for also volunteering to staff; we should be in good shape on that front.

Logistics:

I'd like to start the tournament between 9 and 9:30 am on Sunday. (Between a full-RR Chicago Open and the lit tournament, that Saturday is probably going to be a very long one; I'd like to give people at least a bit of time to recover.) The tournament will be wherever the rest of the CO events are. Also, I'm cool with ordering food in for lunch to keep things moving -- I was planning on ordering pizza for the staff anyway.

Well, I am playing on a team with Weiner, Lafer and Westbrook, so our team is not looking for players. I don't know about Chris and Jeremy, though.

I believe it has now been decided that Brendan Byrne will join the team of Trevor Davis, Quentin Roper, and me.

As one of the two current members of Team Number 10, we definitely still have room for a warm body or two, insofar as the other member on the team (due to another commitment early in the morning) may not quite be able to get to the venue by the start of Round 1.

I have accepted the third position on Michael Knapp & Chris Sienko's #10 trash team. Michael & Chris, do you need a team for the Chicago Open itself, too?

If there is extra staff, or anyone still lurking about in the free agent pool, our team is still down two people (we had plans for some people to come in, but they just fell through). Even if you are not good at trash, that's ok. We are not good at trash, either.

Thanks. Not playing in the CO.

Still looking for a 4th, ideally a sports-leaning TRASHthusaist, but will take whatever is available.
