So if no one's gotten in contact with you yet, Minnesota should be bringing roughly one team (which does not have to write a packet).

The full stats after the prelims (one full round-robin) can be found here.

After the prelims, we split into brackets of 4, 4, and 3 teams. The tie in record between Minnesota, Wayne State and Drake, which affected placement into the first or second brackets, was resolved by points per game, per ACF rules.

The almost-full stats for the playoffs can be found here. The stats for the playoff matches Chicago B v. Michigan A and Chicago B v. Drake are missing; if they show up, they will be added.

I have the final score of the Drake-Chicago B game as Drake 280, Chicago B 130.

I have Drake/me with 11 tossups 0 negs, and 15.45 points per bonus.

I have Chicago B with 6 tossups, 0 negs, and 11.67 points per bonus.

Those numbers might be slightly off, but I know that they're close.

Stupid question, but from looking at the stats, is Illinois actually the winner or not? They went undefeated in the playoffs and had an identical record to Chicago A in the prelims, but there hasn't been any word on whether an advantaged final was played.

We did play an advantaged final. Illinois had the advantage owing to their win in the playoffs, but Chicago won the next two games (405-210 and 475-125) to win the tournament.

University of Chicago outdid itself with ACF 2008 Regionals.

Post by EncyclopediaCDRom »

Kudos to the University of Chicago for organizing such a well-run ACF 2008 Regionals tournament just one week after conducting a similarly smooth NAQT SCT tourney. After round five was completed, the lunch was waiting for us. In light of the recent recall of beef, can we have more non-meat choices for vegetarians like myself? Don't worry about me spreading my convictions to my three cats, who are obligate carnivores who must eat meat for taurine, an amino acid useless for humans but added to Red Bull, which no longer sponsors Scott Speed in Formula One but still sponsors A. J. Allmendinger and Brian Vickers in NASCAR.
