Any idea if and when this might be mirrored at Duke? It's always a fun competition.

If anyone is reading this and doesn't know what Celeb. Shootout is, it is a very fun tournament to go to and I personally look forward to it every year. It is part individual and part team and as the name suggests, all the answers are people. You take a test and you are seeded in a single-elimination bracket according to how well you did on your test. Winners and top schools(for the team portion) get trophies!

As Joe said, we're bringing two teams... DCC guys, will you be there? I know you had planned on coming, but with the info going out so late, I didn't know if you had filled your schedule with another tournament or not... I know Copley will not be there, at least from what Joulia told Joe, so it could be a very sparse field.

I will try to get a complete list up ASAP. I e-mailed Kristen asking her for the list of teams, so when I get them, if I get them, I'll post them.

It appears that we have only five schools for sure making the trek to sunny and scenic Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, with a few other schools pending as of last night. Here are the schools and the number of kids which they are reportedly bringing:

Garfield Heights: 8
Solon: 22
St. Ignatius: 7-8
Detriot Central Catholic: 12
Kenston: 8

It's very disappointing how the popularity of this tournament has dropped in the past couple years. Apparently it would attract 20-30 schools in the past. It is obviously a far cry from those number this year.

Anyways, I wish the best of luck to the teams participating and I hope they all have a great time!!

there are two other tournaments on that same weekend in Ohio, I believe. We are going to the closer one, and trying to qualify for OAC regionals to get that out of the way. Celeb shoot is not set up to qualify teams for OAC, only individuals get recognition.

There are your results. In the individuals, Dan Humphrey of Garfield beat Brett from DCC (I forget his last name) for the championship.

Actually, there is a team championship so theoretically you could have qualified for OAC through HSCS.

Individual final placements
1) Dan Humphrey (Garfield Heights)
2) Brett Harrison (DCC A)
3) Jon Vargo (DCC A)
4) Joe Sheeran (DCC A)

They finished in the same order on the prelim test.
* Mike Bindis (Coach) 143
* Bob Kilner (Coach) 141
Humphrey 139
Harrison 123
Vargo 118
Sheeran 114
Kayvon Rashidi (DCC B) 108

Freshman/Sophomore (highest scores by test)
1) George McIntyre (DCC B): 63
2) Matthew Nicholas (DCC C): 60
3) Jack Wells (Garfield Heights A): 59
3) Mike Yurko (DCC C): 59

No discussion of questions or funny answers until after the Duke event.
