Blake will hold its 7th tournament. 50 tossups per game, $40 per team for teams that bring buzzers, $50 for teams that don't have buzzers. Last year the tournament was done by 2:35 pm. For details, please email Joe Caulfield at [email protected]

Could the director/anyone going to this tournament please inform us as to the start time tomorrow(registration etc.)? Our drivers are getting anxious.

Thanks

I was informed to be there at 8. [I'm a staffer for the tourney; if I am reading for your game, I apologize in advance.] Obviously, the best thing to do would be to email Mr. Caulfield at the address he gave, but if he doesn't write back in time, I'd say use my 8 o clock as a guideline. A little after 8 would probably be what you're looking for.

Not much help, as Bykowski will have his rankings up soon, but here are the games I read for.

1st round:
WJ vs. TJ D [Not TJ D- TJ did not have a D team, so instead it was Blake's 2nd and 4th players and 2 guys from South Lake. Team referred to from now on as "South Blake."]
2nd round-
South Blake vs. Centennial C
3rd Round-
Perry Hall A vs. Centennial C
4th round:
ER A vs. Gonzaga
5th round:
ER A vs. Centennial C
1st round, finals:
Banneker vs Centennial A

I also know ER was downed by TJ A in the finals and South Blake went 1-4. Not much help, hmm?

I assume this was Gonzaga B, given their attendance at Princeton?

Due to the laws of Quantum Mechanics, Dan Puma, Kevin Leahy, and their teammates can be in two places at once so long as Chris Ray doesn't observe them.

I think you're right, considering the Gonzaga I saw didn't quite look like the one I remember beating us earlier this year.
Or the above poster could be right.

Confusion over Gonzaga

Post by joecaul »

Gonzaga sent two teams to Princeton, and, very graciously, sent one team to the Blake Tournament. For the purposes of comparisons, the Gonzaga team at the Blake Tournament should be considered Gonzaga C.

Actually we only sent one team to Princeton so the Blake team was our B team.
