Brindlee Mountain High School and Middle School (12/1/07)

Coaches:

Brindlee Mountain High School and Middle School will be hosting tournaments on Dec. 1, 2007. There will be two separate tournaments running simultaneously. The middle school tournament will be an ASCA format tournament. The high school tournament will be a pyramidal tossup/bonus style tournament.

The middle school tournament will have divisions for 5th/6th grade teams and 7th/8th grade teams.

The high school tournament will have both JV (through 10th grade) and Varsity divisions.

The following is the price schedule for teams:

Middle School Tournament: $55/team with $5 discount per working buzzer system per team

High School Tournament: $65/team with $5 discount per working buzzer system per team

Other Discounts: We will also discount $10 per team if you can bring an experienced moderator.

The high school tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. please make sure to arrive no later than 8:30. Any high school team not present by 9:00 a.m. will be replaced and will not be refunded. The middle school tournament will begin at 9:30. Please arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. Any middle school team not present by 9:30 will be replaced and will not be refunded.

The Brindlee Mountain High School’s Quiz Bowl team will be writing the questions for both tournaments and as such will not be competing. The only possible exception might be the Brindlee Mountain Middle School 6th grade teams who may compete in the 5th/6th grade division.

Just when I thought fall quiz bowl season would end on Nov 17 at Brookwood......

Really? I though that in a lot of places the only noticeable gap between seasons is around winter break (ie the 2nd half of December-the beginning of January).

We have exams before Christmas so that makes anything after the first week of Dec a no go.

Is Brindlee Mountain coming to the Vergilian in Nashville?
