Russell High School Tournament KY (9/15/07)

Post by mknupp »

Russell High School in Russell KY will be hosting its second annual invitational tournament on Sept 15, 2007. I thought early notification would be nice in planning ahead for next year.

Format is the same as last year. Four quarters. TU, TU-Bonus, worksheet, pyramid style.

Entry form will be available in May.

If my memory is correct, we had around 24 teams. Not bad for our first effort. The tournament did run in a timely way and finished at a reasonable time. We are hoping for more teams this year.

Just wanted to bump the thread up since this tournament is tomorrow. Also, if someone could pass along the full tournament statistics to me by e-mail (essentially the scores of each game), I'd greatly appreciate it.

No. The Varsity A team wasn't there, unfortunately.
I was hoping they would be, though...

Dunbar Varsity did not attend. We couldn't go because our coach had people coming in from out of town and due to a combination of school rules and a lack of drivers, we had no transportation. We will be at Ezell Harding next week.

The posted results were correct.

Varsity:

1st: Danville
2nd: Johnson Central
Semis: DCC and Pikeville A

JV:

1st: Dunbar
2nd: Johnson Central

Congats to those teams. The day went well. I want to especially thank the players and coaches on their conduct during the day. Last year we had some vandalism, but this year was GREAT.

Thanks again

Wow... that's pretty sad.
You would think people would know to leave the technology and things alone and especially not DESTROY anything...
Oh well.

Great tournament, Mr. Knupp!

Btw, I and some of my team mates thought the questions were very well constructed. Nicely done. :)
