RESULTS:Belles' Bowl (2/24/07) at Saint Mary's (Raleigh, NC)

Post by ProsperoSMS »

Saint Mary's Quiz Team is proud to announce the second annual Belles Bowl on 24 February 2007. We will start at nine o'clock, with a plan to finish in the mid-afternoon, with five preliminary rounds guaranteed, and at least one further round (we hope to have everyone in a playoff this year; if the numbers do not pan out for that, we will have a consolation playoff for the remaining teams).

Matches will be played in a tri-part, Trefoil format: Lightning Round (10 short tossups based on set curriculum), Worksheet (15 questions based on a theme), and Pyramidal Toss-Up/Bonus Round (10 tossups with potential 30-point bonus questions).

We will cap the field at 16 teams. Deadline=17 Feb. 2007.

Tournament Fee Structure:
$55/team; $40 for additional teams from the same school
$10 per buzzer discount

Please address all queries to HHDavis "at" saint-marys "dot" edu.

We had a great time at the tournament; excellent questions, good readers, and nice trophies. :o) John also liked the Barbie doll he got for the individual awards. I am sure he will treasure it always.

Thanks to all the teams who came out Saturday. The tournament seemed to go fairly well (at least, the complaints weren't directed to me!), and I'll get the questions out soon to each of you.

Congratulations to the winners and to all the teams.

I have to give special thanks to Patrick King for his great job with the stats yet again.
