Hey all! My high school quizbowl teammate Abhas and I have been running a trivia app called KnowIt for a few months now. Our game, heavily inspired by QuizUp of yesteryear, is an attempt to distill ideas from pyramidal quizbowl into an accessible mobile game - 15 points for buzzing on the first clue, 10 points for answering on the second. We're really excited about this opportunity to bring the kinds of ideas and content which underly high-quality quizbowl to a wider audience. I, for one, would love to live in a world where there are as many folks are playing a short, pyramidal quiz everyday as there are folks playing the New York Times crossword.
You can download the app here. Our social links are here.
It's totally free to play. Right now, we put out a general knowledge quiz ("daily") of 10 questions each day. These have a mix of pop culture, academic, and general knowledge topics and get progressively harder throughout the week. The difficulty is calibrated such that you'd expect a well educated person off the street to be able to get a majority of the questions right and maybe power a few. I'd expect experienced, skilled quizbowlers to find it fairly easy, but less experienced quizbowlers and folks used to different formats should find it a decent challenge.
We also have a few themed quizzes ("challenges") and a free play mode, where you can create games with friends and play general knowledge questions from a wide pool. We're working on adding content to build on these features; in the near future, I'm hoping to add some harder challenges, including some general knowledge ones suited for competition among the best of the broader quiz community.
Eventually we plan on monetizing our app, but we're trying to avoid taking an ads-first approach. Dailies are free and always will be, as is the free play pool. As we grow the app, we want to build something that is so awesome that folks are willing to pay a little here and there for more.
A few things we're looking for:
Feedback! We have set up a feedback Discord; you can also DM me here, on Discord, on Facebook, or on our Instagram account to share your thoughts. We're constantly adding new features and working on bug fixes, plus trying to ramp up our content production.
Writers! We're looking to hire writers to produce high quality, short questions that suit our app - pyramidal, power-marked, multiple choice 160 characters or fewer, about the length of a bonus part. Currently we pay $1.50 per short question for content for our dailies. We will offer the same rate for high-quality, well-written, themed challenges. We're open to increasing this rate as we add more users and features.
Shares! We recently rolled out the option to share your results on dailies to social media and are trying to make this easier to use. Sharing results helps us enormously and any thoughts you have on the feature are enormously welcome.

Re: New Trivia App (KnowIt)
We've put out a more challenging general knowledge quiz ("GK Challenge 1") which you can find under the Challenges section of the home screen. Planning to add more of these on a biweekly basis!
Props to William Golden and Natan Holtzman for putting up excellent scores of 235 out of a possible 300 points.
