IQBT Tag Team Championship - CANCELED

This is the announcement for the IQBT Tag Team Championship, a duos tournament for high school players that will be held online on October 5 & October 6. This is a tossups-only event that will use questions from the 2024 IQBT Undergraduate Championship Tournament.

Teams consist of two players. Teams can only have students from the same school. Players must be enrolled in high school.

Teams will compete in shootout-style matchups against multiple other teams. Teams will be rebracketed with teams of similar strength, with top performing teams eventually facing off in a final.

This will be a two-day event.

The entry fee is $175 per team of two. Teams are not officially entered into the field until they pay the entry fee.

Staffers will be paid $75 per day of staffing provided. If the staffer agrees, that pay can be put towards a team's entry fee.

The field will be preliminarily capped at 40 teams.

There hasn't been enough interest to make this viable, so we're canceling it for this year. I'm going to see if there's interest for it next year.
