Can we do some spring cleaning on the forums?

Post by a Joe »

The forums are really getting clogged with old tournament threads (some from two years ago or more!), old set threads, old discussion threads, old calendars...

Can we get it cleaned? I'll put my money where my mouth is and offer to either do it myself should the board staff let me, or make a donation to pay someone to do it and get things going.

We really need these forums to be a place where everyone can find things easily, particularly new teams finding tournaments, and it is currently not the case that they can do so.

Presumably there will be an end-of-year cleanup that will involve archiving old threads and making public old set discussion fora and the like. (Though that being said, there are still usergroups for tournaments from 2015 for some reason.)

Now that it's almost September with the new school year starting, I feel like old threads probably should have gotten archived and old usergroups been made public.

Now that it's mid-September, are there any plans for this?

I'm starting to archive old threads slowly and will work on opening up user groups soon.
