2023 CREEK+ @ Berkeley (9/30/23)

Post by Shahar S. »

The Quiz Bowl Club at UC Berkeley is pleased to announce that the Northern California site of CREEK+ will be held at UC Berkeley on Saturday, September 30th, 2023. The opening meeting will begin at 8:45 AM PT and gameplay will begin at 9:00 AM PT. Our current plan is to host this tournament at the Social Sciences building, but this is still currently subject to change as we are still in the process of reserving rooms. Please direct any questions about this site to [email protected].

Tournament and Gameplay Rules
The tournament will take place in-person at UC Berkeley. While we cannot require people to be fully vaccinated, we strongly encourage that all attendees be fully vaccinated. This tournament will follow ACF’s official gameplay rules, which can be found at this link https://acf-quizbowl.com/gameplay-rules/.

Eligibility
Any closed (consisting of players all enrolled at the same institution) college or high school team can play this tournament. While there are no official guidelines for eligibility to play CREEK+ beyond it being a closed tournament, it is an upscaled high school set, so we encourage older players with more experience to sit this one out for the sake of newer collegiate players.

Registration
Please email [email protected] with the subject line "[Your School] Registration for CREEK+ @ Berkeley" with the following information:
