2023 Question Writing Competition and Human-Computer Tournament

Post by ezubaric »

In 2018, we had a human-computer adversarial tournament:

Where people wrote questions that were hard for computers but relatively easy for humans.

Computers have gotten a lot better since then, and we’d like to do it again. Thanks to generous support from Meta, we have prize money available (up to $500 for question writers, up to $500 for the winner of the computer tournament).

Questions are due in about a month, and we’ll have the online and in-person tournaments at the end of July (exact timing TBD).

More information here:

This is a weird format / idea, so I’m sure there are questions. We have a FAQ on the page, but if you have more questions, please ask them here.

We’ll edit this post as our in-person tournament becomes clearer.
