DMA Mirror @ ASU (4/22/23)

Sun Devil Quizbowl (Arizona State) is excited to announce that it will be hosting a mirror of DMA (HS Regs+/Nats- Set) on Saturday, April 22, 2023! The tournament will take place on ASU’s campus.

The main announcement for the set can be found here. The field for this mirror will consist of novice collegiate teams and high school teams. Collegiate teams will be allowed only by TD discretion.

Location/Logistics:

The tournament will be held on the second floor of Durham Hall (DH). A map of ASU’s campus can be found here: https://www.asu.edu/map/pdf/asu_map_tempe_current.pdf. Free parking on the weekends can be found nearby at the Fulton Center or the Tyler Street structure.

Check in will begin at 8:30 AM at DH 202. We will have a pre-tournament meeting at 8:50 AM in the same room and games will begin around 9:00 AM.

Fee Structure:

$60 Base Fee
- $10 travel discount if >100 miles traveled according to Google Maps
- $5 Working Buzzer
- $10 for each team after the first

Payment must be completed BEFORE the start of the tournament. Venmo is the preferred method of payment, but we will accept cash or check as payment. If you are writing a check, please address it to Sun Devil Quizbowl Club.

To register, please email [email protected] with your school name, the number of teams, the tentative roster for each team, the number of buzzers, and an emergency cell phone number. Please email us should you have any questions or concerns.

A big thank you goes out the teams that made the journey to Arizona State for this tournament. Hergerger A emerged victorious with a perfect 10-0 record. Congratulations to Hergerger A for their impressive performance! We hope everyone enjoyed their time.
