Thank you so much to everyone that made the trek to UVA yesterday for the 25th iteration of Cavalier Classic! I had a wonderful time yesterday and I hope that everyone else did as well.

First off, I want to say congratulations to Maggie Walker A for winning the tournament without the need for a final. I’d also like to congratulate all teams in attendance for their performance yesterday. While I didn’t get to see any games played, I heard many wonderful things from my staffers.

I'd also like to say thank you to all of our staffers who made the tournament possible. The majority of our staffers were UVA students, but I want to give a particular thanks to our external staffers Austin Smith and Harry White. Harry drove from northern Virginia to run stats for the tournament, which we are all very grateful for. Austin took the time out of his busy schedule to staff the tournament. I'd also like to give a special thanks to Matt Weiner and Douglas Graebner whose contributions made the tournament possible.

Full statistics for the tournament are currently available at hsquizbowl.org and will be available on the NAQT website sometime in the next few weeks. If you notice any errors in the statistics, please send me an email with “Cavalier Classic Stats Correction” in the subject line. The statistics for this tournament can be found at the following links:

This was the fourth tournament I have helped direct here at UVA, and my second as primary Tournament Director. It’s always a joy to see the halls of New Cabell filled with students excited to play quizbowl and I can’t wait to see y’all back here at our next tournament.
