Announcing IACQBank

Post by TheScientists »

Hi everyone! I'm really excited to announce the public release of IACQBank v1.0!

What is IACQBank?
IACQBank is an archive of as many publicly available questions produced by IAC in one convenient place. IACQBank lets you search for questions along with navigating through the archive.

IACQBank Features:
  • An expansive and easily navigable archive of IAC questions that will continuously be updated when new sets get uploaded.
  • A search tool that lets you refine results by region of where the packet is from and the type.
  • A mobile-friendly design to ensure functionality on practically every device (mobile, tablet, laptop, desktop).
A few notes:
  • The search tool is currently linked to IAC URLs instead of the IACQBank archive. This is due to Google CSE not indexing any of the files in the site archive. This will be fixed at some point (whether through CSE or through a different setup) and all results will be from the archive.
  • IACQBank is not affiliated with International Academic Competitions (IAC) and all packets posted on this site are their property.
If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reply below.

Thank you for visiting this site!

Re: IACQBank Shutdown

Post by TheScientists »

Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, IACQBank no longer exists. This is due to IAC not authorizing third-party projects involving their questions, which is reasonable and I do not have any disagreement with the policy.
Regardless of the unfortunate news, I want to thank everyone for their feedback and support of this project. Making IACQBank really helped me a lot through a rough patch.

For those seeking an alternative to IACQBank:
- QuizDB has a bunch of history questions used in quizbowl tournaments.
- Quizbug2 and Betterbowl are interactive question readers that you can use to game-ify QuizDB questions.
- quizbowlpackets.com and hsapq.com have some pre-2015 NHBB/USHB packets
- IACs many websites have past questions that you can download and practice with. See https://www.iacompetitions.com/ for the expansive list of events, and navigate to the Resources/Past Questions page for each event's site to find them.

Again, thank you everyone!

Damn this was really helpful. The UI was way more friendly and it was nice to have everything in one place.

Muhammad bin Tughluq, upon his ascent to the throne of Delhi, conducted a massacre at Kannauj. He moved the capital of Delhi to Daulatabad in Maharashtra for centralization after his conquest of Warangal Fort in Telangana. Tughluq defended India in the north against the Chagatai Khanate, and was later defeated by Prithvi Chand II in in Kangara. Tughluq standardized brass and copper coinage, taking away from the market value of gold.
