Planes, Trains, and Automobiles [Side Event]

Post by CPiGuy »

This is an announcement for Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, a transit-focused geography side event to be held hopefully at the 2020 string of NCTs.

There will be at least five packets (hopefully more, but five is the most I can guarantee 100%) of 24 tossups each, with a distribution of:
6 Rail
6 Road
6 Air
6 Other (including mixed, water, space, and fictional transportation)

I expect the difficulty of this tournament to be varied, high, and full of whimsy (as any good side event ought to be).

I would be more disappointed to miss this tournament than I was not to get to fly on Delta's inaugural A220 flight.

Looking forward to this. What are the chances that it falls on ICT weekend?

Is there going to be a set-in-stone geographical distribution or is that just gonna be intuitively more or less balanced?

Will there be any engineering-esque tossups?

This is being postponed to next spring; I very much want it to be played in person and think it will be a good nationals side event.
