DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
I think for UIUC people, this works best if its after CO, but before school starts. If you are interested in having this be before CO, let me know.

Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
I wouldn't mind this to be in July as well, but really any weekend besides the one right before or after CO would be great.

Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
A July date, the earlier the better, would definitely be better for me.

Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
Mid-July would be the best, but either of the other August weekends would be preferable to the one after CO.

Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
I've added "July weekend" to the poll, if July ends up being a favorite, I'll make a new thead and we'll decide on a specific weekend.

Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
I would strongly prefer this being in August, but I realize I'm likely close to the only one

Any reason why this can't be multiple-select?

Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
Seems like there's a big group for a July mirror, but I'm assuming if I asked people to settle on one weekend those votes would be split. I'm currently leaning towards August 17th-18th to have a buffer after CO. This has the benefit of giving writers more time to polish their sets and not accidentally landing on the same date as Wustl's NASAT mirror.

Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
I personally would greatly prefer a July mirror since I'll be leaving for Austin in early August, but I am but one person.

This could work to do a Summer Open mirror, since I believe that won't be available until August.John Ketzkorn wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 12:46 am Seems like there's a big group for a July mirror, but I'm assuming if I asked people to settle on one weekend those votes would be split. Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
Why not find out by doing a July date poll, or just asking people who voted for July whether they can't make it on any specific weekends?John Ketzkorn wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 12:46 am Seems like there's a big group for a July mirror, but I'm assuming if I asked people to settle on one weekend those votes would be split. Re: DATE POLL: Illinois Side Event Weekend
That was my reasoning. I also assume people wouldn't want this the weekend of July 27th (for the same reasons August 10th doesn't work), so that only pushes the date earlier. Here's a poll for July so we can see what availability looks like.ryanrosenberg wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 8:22 amThis could work to do a Summer Open mirror, since I believe that won't be available until August.John Ketzkorn wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 12:46 am Seems like there's a big group for a July mirror, but I'm assuming if I asked people to settle on one weekend those votes would be split.
