San Diego Quizbowl is pleased to announce a last-minute mirror of (This) Tournament is a Crime at UC San Diego on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Information about the set can be found here.

Apologies for the late announcement, but we've only just now determined that there would be a playable turnout for this mirror.

Location: UC San Diego, 9450 Gilman Dr., San Diego, CA 92092. The exact location on campus has yet to be determined, but detailed instructions including a map will be sent to all teams registered prior to the tournament.

Fee Structure:

Base Fee: $140/team
-$10 per working buzzer
-$10 per competent moderator, accepted at tournament director's discretion
-$5 per every 50 miles traveled, one-way, as determined by Google Maps
-$20 if all members of the team attend the same institution

Unfortunately, due to lack of confirmed teams throughout our canvassing over the last two weeks (turns out it's hard when half the schools in the circuit, including us, are on the quarter system), it looks like I'll have to cancel this--hopefully, we can get it hosted at some point in April. I'll be in touch with teams and known alumni we have contact info for in the area re: further information about a future date.

University of California @,at San Diego A* went 7 - 2 to win the tournament uncontested over The University of Southern California Institute of Technology, It's the same thing but you make this a bee, and UCLA. Thank you to everyone for coming out for an excellent day of quizbowl!
