This is the University of Maryland quizbowl team's announcement of the main site tournament for Terrapin XXIX.

Location/Schedule:

This tournament will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in UMD’s own Jiménez Hall. We aim to begin at ~8:45 AM; registration will take place from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM.
Your team can have lunch at either the nearby Stamp Student Union's food court or at one of the many restaurants on Route 1.

Set Details:

Terrapin XXIX is a regular-difficulty collegiate set written by members of the UMD quizbowl team. Anyone who is eligible under ACF rules, in addition to high-schoolers, can play this tournament with other students from their affiliated institution. We encourage players of all skill levels to play this set.

Cost Scheme:

Base Cost per Team: $120
Discount per Buzzer set: -$5
Discount per Staffer: $-10
Discount per 150 miles traveled: -$10

Registration:

Club president Sarang Yeola will handle registration and direct the tournament. To register, email him at this address: saryeola[at]gmail[dot].com . Include the number of teams, staffers, and buzzer sets that your institution plans to bring.
We may cap the field depending on interest and resources.
