This is, of course, NHBB weekend. We're not exactly happy about this.

This may cause many teams to have to pick between NHBB and SSNCT.

Thanks for letting us know the date. When it comes to small schools, I don't think any date is perfect. Speaking for my own team, my players tend to be committed to quite a lot of activities at once, so most weekends potentially conflict with something else. I don't think there's any way to avoid this. My players simply need to clear their schedule for quiz bowl.

That said, I very much like having a separate SSNCT from the regular Nationals, I like the location, and the weekend is far less of a problem than many other weekends could be (like last year's competition coming right before AP exams).

Congratulations to Harmony Science North Austin, who defeated Hallsville 450-375 in the first game of an advantaged final to win the 2015 NAQT Small School National Championship Tournament! Glasgow claimed third place with a 545-120 victory over Baconton Charter.
