CO 2015 Matchmaking

Post by Cheynem »

(Yes, I know the dates aren't finalized)

Me want CO team!
Me not very good!
Me write packets promptly!

Edit: Lil' Evan Adams can also be considered part of the "me" in the above sentences.

Hi. I am not particularly good at quizbowl. I specialize at negging science. I will probably write my questions by a reasonable deadline. If you are interested in playing with me let me know.

There's a better-than-even chance I'll be at CO, so let me know if you want me (tentatively) on your team.

Also, if you want Jason Asher on your team, let me know, or send him an email if you have his email address. He's a good generalist and he outscored me at Regionals.

Andrew Wang, Richard Yu, and I are attempting to form a Class of 2016 Dream Team. We would like a fourth and are even open to non-2016ers as well.

EDIT: The 2016 dream is over, as Jason Asher has joined our squad.

I'm not entirely certain that I'll be making the trip to Chicago this year, but if so, it'd be nice to have a team. I write promptly and know very little beyond ancient history and quizbowl ephemera.

We're waiting to hear back from some people, but some sort of science player on our team is what we are looking for (and who wants to write promptly to hit the first packet deadline).
If you would like to join my team of me, five time five time five time five time five time national champion Evan Adams, and beast frosh Chris Manners, please hit me or my teammates up.

I might play this tournament and I always get a packet in for the earliest deadline. I do not, however, answer questions or win games.

For the better part of a decade I've been skulking in the shadows, avoiding a confrontation with Chicago Open. This year, it's goodbye to all that.

So, contact me through the usual channels if you feel like teaming up.

EDIT: James Lasker is now on board. Someone with a broad grasp of history would be ideal, but I'm sure that I speak for James when I say we're historoflexible (as it were).

EDITx2: Tejas Raje has plighted his troth, and his history knowledge.

I want to play CO History so I'll probably be around in some capacity, although part of me just wants to staff the main event. But if you want somebody who may answer a handful of (mostly-US) history questions, neg a lot of other things that you probably know, and maybe help current events/pop culture/social science if somehow that sneaks into the tournament, then hit me up.

I'm looking for a team. I am a senior at IMSA and will soon be a freshman.
Things that I know that translate up to CO:
History
Myth
Things that I can write at CO level:
History
RMP
Literature
Physics (primarily modern) and Chemistry (primarily bio or organic)

I will have my questions done by May 3rd, assuming that I know what topics to write on by April 3rd. If you are wondering about my question writing, I can PM you samples that I wrote either for IMSANITY (a high school set) or as studying material.
