Wow, lots of teams. C'mon guys, we can get more teams than this! Also, Leslie, I assume this site is closed to open teams as well?

Don't answer that; it's a trap, Leslie! #PhrasingNazi #PetPeeve

And I'm not Leslie, but, yes, I believe open teams are not allowed, unless this has changed since I last spoke to Leslie.

So, less than 2 weeks from the tournament, are there any other teams (than Ottawa) planning to play? 'Cause we can't play ourselves.

Waterloo would like to register a team. Its composition will be revealed soon.

We'll likely have a second team coming.

Carleton would also like to register 1 team for this tournament. And we're bringing a set of buzzers too!

Just the one team from Waterloo, actually. The team will be Arjun Sondhi, Kira Vimal and myself. We've received permission from the TD and head-editor to play as an "open" team.

We insist on being referred to as "Watashi wa oyogimasu~", or "Watashi" for short.

As I will be traveling from Seattle, I believe we are entitled to a travel discount.

If there are only 3 teams for this, can we push the start time back a bit, please?

I'm ok with changing the start time, so long as my staff are too (which I'll find out about tomorrow). Also, I don't mind offering a travel discount (although not a particularly large one) for one Waterloo team, so long as we have people coming to play on Saturday!

Please note that the start time for this tournament has been moved forward to 9:30am (teams should still aim to arrive around 9am for registration and setup); we will be gathering in the second floor atrium of the McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC) by room 203.

I won the neg prize of surprizing kwality with 22 negs over said 9 rounds (6 in the last game, in which I, playing solo, lucked out in by 5 points).

A big thanks to Leslie and Rico for reading, Peter Cordeiro for scorekeeping, and everyone who showed up for making this so damn fun.

Big thanks to Leslie, Peter, Rico, Jay, and everyone who played, for coming out and making it an excellent day. Despite the hiccups it was an enjoyable time and a fun experience playing in tournament with only 4 teams.

Fun day all around, even if the Japanese knowledge that was tested was decidedly un-anime. Thanks to Leslie, Rico and Peter for running a smooth tournament (once the packets were received). Waterloo had a great time. Watashi wa oyogimasu~!
