Carleton will have a presence at this event, and we'll register closer to the time of when we know exactly how many teams we're sending.

I repeat Nick's comment, and we'll see closer to the day. If last year is representative, we'll be likely sending one team, mix of old and new players.

Is this tournament still happening? I'm wondering why the host is sending its players to another site on the same day...

This is still happening. AFAIK Jay Misuk is in Philadelphia for non-quizbowl reasons that weekend that could fit Penn Bowl into his schedule.Ndg wrote:Is this tournament still happening? I'm wondering why the host is sending its players to another site on the same day...

This is what I believe as well. Are you and CMU thinking of coming up to play Penn Bowl at Mac, Andrew? If so, then I still have your D2 second place trophy from ACF Regionals last season and can bring it to you.Masked Canadian History Bandit wrote:This is still happening. Yes, the tournament is still happening! Yesterday's field update was not a decoy.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.
More likely than not, we'll be headed your way, seeing as the field at Penn has filled up.

Happy to confirm we'll have (exactly) two teams present. One set of buzzers and (EDITED) one staffer (Aaron Dos Remedios).
See you all there!
EDIT: Lying lies! We'll have a staffer (ADR) with us.

Re: Penn Bowl @ McMaster (Oct. 18)
Our number of teams has now fallen to just 1, because we've had some drop-outs. If that drastically breaks anything, though, we'll be happy to play as 2 shorthanded teams. Your call, Newcombe.

Carleton will be sending 1 team and 1 set of buzzers to this tournament. Sorry for the delay in registering, I was in a drunken stupor.

Since I'm no longer playing this in Philly, methinks imma make an appearance with an entourage of extra Mac folk. Just to make things interesting :D

Thank you to our staffers for helping the tournament run smoothly, and in particular to Joe and Rico for making such short work of the stats.
And of course, thank you all for coming out - best of luck to those of you who are currently playing PADAWAN at UofT!
