The Power Station and Monsters of Folk should both be top 15.

(And if fictional supergroups can be counted, Echo Echo featuring James Mercer, Colin Meloy and Corin Tucker should also be included)

Mostly correct, but The Highwaymen and maybe just maybe Bad Company warrant some mention.

Although they don't call themselves a supergroup, I would definitely classify the Raconteurs as one, and a very good one at that.

I wouldn't really call the Foo Fighters a supergroup - they certainly don't behave too much like one. Also how did you underrate CSNY this much, Deja Vu is one of the best albums of all time. Of all time!

Sparklepony is undoubtedly one of the best musical acts to appear on Portlandia, with Aimee Mann a bit behind.

Yeah, I've never heard them referred to as a supergroup. CSNY and Derek and the Dominoes are getting majorly shafted here.

Serf status confirmed.

Give Up was one of the best albums of the early 2000's along with Kid A, Sea Change and By The Way.

Sunny Day Real Estate was an actual band, and I guess you could count Pat Smear (Germs).

Also, Journey (Santana + that one band named after Jabberwocky), as overplayed as they are, deserves some recognition.

There are some very weird definitions of supergroups here. Any band that comes together featuring people who happened to be in other bands before does not automatically constitute a supergroup, does it? Not to mention one-off collaborations between two people (the Postal Service as a supergroup makes no sense at all, no matter what you think of the actual material).
Cape Fear wrote:*cough* Emerson, Lake, and Palmer *coughcough*
I don't know if you can call this a "supergroup" when it was Greg Lake joining up with two people who weren't independently famous of each other after he had left/been forced out of a far, far, superior band in the original King Crimson lineup.
Pat Freeburn - No particular affiliation.

The Postal Service also includes Jenny Lewis and all three of the band's members were well known musicians before they recorded together. More importantly, Wikipedia calls them a supergroup, and the only thing more infallible than Wikipedia are the musical opinions of Rob Carson and Fred Morlan.
