There is an active circuit in the Seattle area; UW usually runs about 2 tournaments in the Fall and 2 tournaments in the Spring. Most of the rest of the state is dominated by the local knowledge bowl (bad quiz bowl format). Nathan Murphy and I have started working on an outreach project to Spokane for the Fall.
