Who's Doing CO?

Post by The King's Flight to the Scots »

Hey all,
CO is still five months away, but we're getting to the time when we should think about who wants to edit. The esteemed Ryan Westbrook seems to have less time on his hands lately, and in any case he's done it three times, so I don't think we have the option of peer-pressuring him again this year. I'd be willing to help edit if I'm needed, but I've gotten an invite to a team I'd like to play with and would rather do that if possible. Do any of you good editors have a million crazy answers you want to write and free time this summer?

EDIT: Actually, this might be better in collegiate discussion if a moderator wants to move it.

I can definitively say that I will not do the main CO event this year, though I may have a hybrid side event ready to play on Sunday or sometime like that, if people want that kind of event at CO.

I thought that Magin expressed some interest at some point. I think it's much better for CO if the "editing team" is a rather small group - so that the field can be as exciting and star-packed as possible.

Yeah, if I don't feel too exhausted from editing after Nats, it would be nice to edit a crazy hard tournament like CO. However, that's a long ways away right now, and I'll only know that by May, so I don't want to throw my name in the ring yet or anything.

Further to this, some of us Britons are thinking of taking a team out to CO this year. When do those in the know think that the exact weekend will be announced, so that we can gauge flight prices and so on?

Psh, I kind of made this joke last year.

However, if you're in desperate need of a math sub-editor, I can do that for y'all.

Hey, I've decided I'm interested in heading this up this year. I'll make a more official post if the time comes, but I'd like to give space to any potential objectors here--I'd also like to see who's interested in contributing editors' questions/editing categories, particularly science.

If I can't make it to CO, I'd like to join in as a subject editor for myth, history, and/or visual fine arts. And I'd promise to keep a lid on the questions about Kokoschka's plays. At the moment I have no idea whether I can or can't make it though.

Any thoughts on a date? We can probably create a separate thread for that.

I'd prefer July 20-21, and failing that, 27-28. A separate thread would be good; nobody wants me managing the logistics for this tournament.
