Bayou-a-Drank 2012 @ U of T Mississauga Dec 8

Post by MacSR »

What: Bayou-a-Drank 2012

Where: The University of Toronto Mississauga, at the Terence Donnelly Health Sciences Complex.

When: 9:00 am Saturday December 8th 2012.

Who: You!

How much: $40 per team. -$4 for a buzzer set.

Let me know in the thread if you are interested in sending a team, AND via email at rawals2-at-gmail-dot-com. Also please let me know if you can bring a buzzer set, as we don't have any. Experienced moderators would also be welcome.

We currently have the capacity for 10 teams. I understand that exams are around this time for many students, but consider it a nice fun break from studying.

More details to come.

Buffalo may send a team. Update will be forthcoming, although we can bring anywhere from zero to four buzzers upon request.

It is very probable that I will be there, possibly with other Western people, possibly on a free agent team (are you allowing these?), possibly playing solo just for shits.

Guelph is interested. Will post at a later date with confirmation, but I wouldn't expect more than 1 team.

Free agents are allowed. Buzzers are highly desired (as my loosely organized club has none), as are moderators.

Any updates on attendance, buzzers, and moderators? All of those would be appreciated! (Especially buzzers, as currently we have 0)

In case they haven't already let you know, a team from Waterloo is planning on coming. They can probably bring a buzzer set, but I'll ask.

Sorry guys, turns out that Buffalo is probably out for this, since finals are coming and I have a previous commitment and can't drive.

So currently we only have confirmed teams from Mac and Waterloo, and one buzzer system from Waterloo.

Guelph or Brian/Western, are you still coming? And will you be with buzzer?

We may be looking at one or two slap rooms if we can't get a couple more buzzer sets, and a smaller tournament of 5-6 teams.

Yes, I still plan to be in attendance, although we will be sans buzzer system, as the Western one is in a state of severe disrepair.

We're still awaiting confirmation from our driver. Should know soon. And we will be bringing 1 buzzer set.

EDIT: Guelph will no longer be sending a team.

Looks like it will be a 4 team tournament (5 maximum):

1 x Mac
1 x Waterloo
1 x Brian et. al
1-2 x Mississauga Academy of Medicine

As mentioned earlier, we will be playing at the Terence Donnelly Health Sciences Complex at the University of Toronto Missisauga. We will meet in one of the rooms on the first floor. The door might be locked, so I'll contact you by email with my cell number so you can text me when you get to the building, and I will come get you.

There is parking available, but it costs money.

So we will be meeting at 9am in room 110 of the Terrence Donnely Health Sciences Complex tomorrow morning. As I mentioned earlier, the doors may be locked when you get there, so let me know via text, and I will come out to get you.

As for lunch, you will need to drive to get some. There is a plaza that is about a 5 minute drive away, with a Five Guys, Starbucks, Subway and etc. We will discuss that tomorrow morning. See y'all there.
