PHSAT XX at Princeton University (10/06/12)

Post by dlondon »

Princeton Quiz Bowl would like to announce the 20th Anniversary Princeton High School Academic Tournament to be held on October 6th, 2012 on the Princeton University campus.

Apologies for the conflict with the SAT, but this was the only open weekend that was possible for us to hold it. Hopefully many of you can still attend.

We will follow the standard NAQT format with the set NAQT IS-118. We are also certified Gold by PACE meaning you can use this tournament to qualify for PACE NSC as well as NAQT HSNCT.

Fees:
$60 for the first team from a school.
$45 for each additional team
-$5 Discount per Buzzer System

Email me at [email protected] to register, and please include PHSAT XX in the subject line.

There are currently 33 teams signed up. The current field is as follows:

Great Neck South (3)
Ridgewood (2)
St. Joe's (2)
State College (2)
Pheonixville Area HS (1)
MAST (1)
Millburn (3)
Henderson (3)
Livingston (2)
Colonia (1)
High Tech (2)
Kellenberg (2)
Wissahickon (2)
Biotech (4)
Charter (2)

The tournament will take place in McCosh Hall in Princeton University. Please arrive between 8 and 8:45 am to room 4 in entryway A to register. You can park in Lots 10 & 13 on William St. or in the North Garage on Prospect Ave. We hope to start the preliminary rounds just after 9 am. Lunch will be approximately 1-2 pm, after which we will have playoffs. We should be done by 4:30.

Dennis,

Saint Joe's of Metuchen will be there with 2 teams, 1 buzzer and 1 moderator (assuming you want moderators, which your announcement did not indicate). And if you wish a formal registration, just indicate the mailing address and I will follow your instructions.

Will there just be a bye round if no extra team signs up?
