There used to be a description of the PATH statistic on the quizbowl wiki page, but i can't find it anymore. The closest i can get is http://www.qbwiki.com/wiki/Shadow_effect and when i search for PATH anyway, nothing shows (see: http://www.qbwiki.com/wiki/PATH ).
Is there someone that has the detailed description for calculating it? Or better yet (i guess) some sort of program that might tabulate it automatically?

Re: calculating "PATH"
Basically, the whole point is to compute for each player an adjusted value for tossups heard. So one's tossups heard is adjusted down based on how many tossups your teammates buzzed on (since you might have had the knowledge but couldn't buzz yourself).

Re: calculating "PATH"
Replace TUH with TUH - (sum of TUs your team mates got or negged), and then calculate it the same way you normally would for pptuh.

How would you compute this using powers, additionally?

Re: calculating "PATH"
Traditionally, I don't think it's modified. There's no reason why you might not get a better description of the shadow effect by subtracting different fractions of a tossup for a question a teammate powered and a question a teammate tenned, though; in fact, it's likely to give you a somewhat better description. (If I were to play Regionals with Dallas or with Ted, I would answer close to zero lit tossups in either case. Maybe one, if a book I had read gets tossed up. But I would have had less of a chance of answering even one were I playing with Ted, since he'd be able to answer more tossups earlier.)
