Tiger Academic Challenge II at Clemson (4/24/10)
Tiger Academic Challenge II at Clemson (4/24/10)
The Clemson University Quizbowl Team gladly invites you to join us on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 for the second Tiger Academic Challenge! The tournament will be open to any and all high school or middle school teams that wish to attend.
Location: Registration and the opening meeting will take place in Daniel Hall Auditorium on the campus of Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. All preliminary and playoff games will be located in Daniel Hall.
Questions: All questions used at the TAC II will be provided by HSAPQ’s second 4-quarter set.
Registration: The price of registration will be $60 per team with no limit on the number of teams from any one school. There will also be a $5 discount for each fully functioning buzzer set as well as a $20 discount for each experienced moderator provided by a school which can be available for all prelim rounds.
Time: Check-in will take place from 8:30 to 9 followed shortly by a brief meeting and the preliminary rounds. Lunch should take place somewhere within the last few rounds of the prelims, and the playoffs should be completed by 6PM.
Also, we'd just like to point out that Clemson University is located conveniently within the one-day trip distance of both Upstate South Carolina as well as metro Atlanta, but of course we welcome quizbowl teams from all over America to visit our beautiful campus.
In order to officially register or if you have any questions, please email [email protected] or [email protected] with a completed registration form.
We look forward to a great day of competition!

Chattahoochee will be there with 1 (one) team and, most likely, 1 (one) buzzer system. Thanks!

Nick,
Unfortunately, our parent driver for Saturday had to pull out, so our attendance is very much up in the air right now pending another parent stepping up to take the Team. Sorry about this. Hopefully, we can still make it. I will keep you posted.

Great news, Nick! We had a parent volunteer to drive the Team, so we are back in the mix. The Hooch will have 1 (one) team there on Saturday with 1 (one) buzzer still.

Something's weird with the Westminster-Chattahoochee game, unless they were each granted arbitrary multiples of 101 points after all 20 questions went dead.Nick wrote:The finishes:

I also doubt that Dorman B heard 70 bonuses against Crescent.

That just notates that they know who won but don't know the scores.jdeliverer wrote:Something's weird with the Westminster-Chattahoochee game, unless they were each granted arbitrary multiples of 101 points after all 20 questions went dead.Nick wrote:The finishes:

Any news of a Tiger Challenge for Fall of 2010 or Spring of 2011?
