Any interest in ICT Wiffle Ball

Post by Skepticism and Animal Feed »

Would anyone be interested in playing wiffle ball with other quizbowl players on the Sunday after ICT? The venue is unknown at this point but there are multiple parks near O'Hare that can serve as the location, assuming we can get people to drive.

I can bring both a wiffle ball and a wiffle bat, and I can convince my mother to drive myself and three additional people to the location of the game.

I was a scrappy Pete Orr like whiffle ball player two summers ago, and I enjoy playing it, but I might prefer to do homework. We'll see.

EDIT: Sorry, driving back too early on Sunday (other Minnesotans still interested). Still have fond memories of making a key defensive play in a tight wiffleball game in the summer of '08.

OK, it looks like so far we have Minnesota + Dan Passner + me interested. A decent start.

I'll have to see what my work load looks like closer to ICT, but I'm tentatively interested

Edit: Work Load too much. No longer interested.

So in. Will bring additional gear, possibly off-brand but should be 100% Wiffle compatible.

EDIT: assuming I'm not committed to driving anyone else home at the same time, but there really, really should be ways around that... ways that depart from or from immediately outside Union Station

I want to do this. I am fun to hang around with sometimes.

Also, what's wiffle ball?

We'll take a poll at ICT as to how many people are interested; if there is insufficient interest we can reschedule this for HSNCT or, less likely, Chicago Open.
