Quizbowler on "Millionaire"

NBC is showing what I think is a rerun of an Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? episode. I don't always watch the show, but I immediately recognized the contestant, so I stuck around.

My thoughts were confirmed when he used his "phone-a-friend" lifeline to call a "fellow quizbowl coach" of a team that always beats him (his name was Eric). Who is the contestant?

A quizbowl coach from the south who always loses to a team coached by "Eric?" Well, that would be anyone who ever plays Dorman.

It was Alex Drake from Robinson HS. He did not call Eric Huff, I think it may have been the Raleigh Charter Coach.

Yes, I think it was Alex Drake who called Eric Grunden.

It was me. I won him $4000 by knowing which Golden Girl told stories about St. Olaf.

I was bummed because I didn't get to talk to Meredith Viera. Curse you, Leeza Gibbons!

Hey, cool, I didn't know they re-ran my episode. To this day the mere mention of "Golden Girls" makes me physically ill.
