CMST: Detailed stats

Post by aseem.keyal »

Here are links to the detailed stats of every mirror that chose to use them. They might still have some issues with bonus answer lines or categorization that myself and Ophir will be fixing this week. Please do not share with anyone still yet to play the tournament, or post these in a public forum.

Impressed the advanced stats are up so quickly!

I'd like to point out that in the McMaster stats, Leo was given the tossups on Simone de Beauvoir and Chinese Indonesians that I buzzed on. I'm not sure where the error happened.

Looks like the mod just attributed the buzz to the wrong person, this has now been fixed in the scoresheet. As I understand it, corrections in the scoresheets take around 5 minutes to be reflected in the published web stats the post links to, so you should see it there soon.

At the Minnesota site, I was given buzzes on "Opus Dei" and "sectors" which were actually Sam's.

Thank you for making these available!

At NYU, Chris White was given a couple tossups I buzzed on (Fosse and Abraham).

Also, I was given a few questions I definitely did not get, such as the Dayton Accords and Titus Andronicus. Unfortunately, I can't remember who actually got these tossups.

I calculated subject-specific PATH and overall PATH (weighted average of subject-specific PATH) for CMST.

For those not familiar, PATH is [your tossup points]/[tossups you got or your opponents got], or "points per tossups heard, but excluding tossups your teammates buzzed on". It's meant to reduce the shadow effect.

For each subject column, the number is "points per tossup heard"; the PATH column is "points per game".
