The Geography Front - Lost Rounds Parts 1 and 2

Post by castrioti »

All,

I will read the remainder of the rounds for The Geography Front (The Lost Rounds) on the following weekends on Discord:

Sunday, September 26, 2021 (Rounds 6-11)
Sunday, October 10, 2021 (Rounds 12-18)

The interest list for these events is here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

I will run these as two related, but separately winnable events (Part 1 and Part 2). Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether or not you played the in-person event at Northwestern or the Online Mirror. If you played any of the previous Geography Front tournaments, your $15 entry fee will cover these events as well. If you did not play at either of them, the entry fee is $15 and will cover both events.

I am seeking a scorekeeper for these events, and will pay you $30 per event.

If interested in playing, sign up and contact me at mathewswesleya at gmail dot com. If you want to scorekeep, e-mail me or send me a PM on this site.

I have not yet heard from potential scorekeepers, and so will increase my offer to $45 per event for a scorekeeper.

I expect these events to take between 4 and 5 hours each.

All,

For all who have signed up for this Sunday's event who haven't e-mailed (I don't have an e-mail address for all of you), please do so before NOON on Saturday, September 25. I will send out the Discord channel and Buzzin.Live game codes shortly thereafter.

I will plan to start the event on Sunday, September 26 at 8AM Pacific Time.

Congratulations to Jeff Hoppes, who went 6-0 to win Part One of The Geography Front - The Lost Rounds.

This tournament featured a smaller but aggressive and competitive field, and amazing buzzes were had by all.

Statistics are here:

I will get the packets posted next.

Please continue discussion of these events here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=25345

Take care, all, and we will meet again to finish the Lost Rounds in two weeks.

The final Geography Front - The Lost Rounds Part 2 will begin at 8AM Pacific Time on Sunday, October 10. I will send out the Discord Server link shortly after noon on Saturday, October 9, so if there are any who would like to play not on the interest list, let me know before then so I can add you to the e-mailing list.
