RIVERS: A Multidisciplinary Experience

Post by alexdz »

Coming at you sometime in 2022 (I hope) will be RIVERS: Recalling Interesting Various Expertise in Riparian Studies! The set will test your knowledge of all things rivers and cover a to-be-determined mixture of all of the usual major categories of academic quizbowl (with a helping of river popular culture, too). Expect some questions about rivers in history, rivers in literature, the science of rivers, rivers in art, etc.

The goal will be to complete around 5 or 6 packets of 20 tossups each, or more if anyone is interested in collaborating (reach out if you are!). Difficulty is likely to fall on the easier side of a usual open side event given that my usual quizbowl writing is for middle schoolers and I've never written a themed side event like this before. How and when this will be played is negotiable.
