ReachTime!

Post by Senator_Jay »

Hey everyone, get ready for ReachTime! I, in partnership with Reach for the Top (Canadian high school trivia format), am presenting a new (free-to-try) subscription trivia game weekly through this fall. Every Wed. evening at 7:30pm EST we'll be running 100-snapper games (speedcheck-style) covering 10 different categories to help you test your mettle against people from across the continent, and develop your speed for in-person play. No buzzers necessary! We'll have a reader present you with 100 questions to answer, and your scores will be kept week-by-week so you can see your progress and see how you fare against others in your division (Student, Alumni, or Open). We'll be running a free try-out session on Wednesday, Oct. 7 @ 7:30pm. Please register or find out more by emailing me, at [email protected]. Official games start Wednesday, Oct. 14 @ 7:30pm and will run weekly. The price per game will be $10CAD/ game, and the price for the season (8 rounds) will be $75CAD. If you pay for all 8 rounds, you'll also receive a complimentary set of the questions at the end of the season for your perusal; otherwise, you can purchase the set of questions in December for your team to practice with if you are unable to participate but would still like to use the questions. The Student division is open to current K-12 students; the Alumni division is open to any Reach for the Top alumni and/or current Quizbowl players in college; the Open division is open to anyone (coaches, staffers, non-trivia types, etc.) This would be a great opportunity to do some more trivia and get some speed practice. What time is it? It's ReachTime!
