Where are you going to college next year? (2018)
No one's started this thread yet this year; if you're a current senior, where are you going next year?

In an unexpected turn of events I'll be attending Barnard College next year and will be playing quiz bowl- not sure how cross enrollment and such with the Columbia club works (if any Barnard/Columbia players happen to read this- please PM me!), but I have no problem with starting a club regardless.

Founding a club at a Wisconsin liberal arts college is possible, I swear! You can do this!Ndg wrote:Cool! Wisconsin could definitely use more college clubs.k120 wrote:I'm going to Beloit College. Unfortunately, they don't have a quizbowl team, but hopefully I'll be able to start one.

I'm going to Wofford College. I'm pretty sure they have a team, but I'm not very informed on the state of their quizbowl program.

If I recall correctly, Beloit had a team that went to a few tournaments in the 2012/2013 year. They may have a buzzer system lying around somewhere.cornfused wrote:Founding a club at a Wisconsin liberal arts college is possible, I swear! You can do this!Ndg wrote:Cool! Lee Holden was their student leader, but he has graduated. Dr. Wright is their faculty advisor and takes them to tournaments. Their contact info is on the link Dan shared, so I would encourage you to check with them.I'm a goff (in case you couldn't tell) wrote:They hosted a tournament just last month.KelinC625 wrote:I'm going to Wofford College. I advise the team at the University of South Carolina, which is about a 1.5 hour drive from Spartanburg (my home town!). We'll be hosting at least a tournament or two next season. UGA and Georgia Tech are also nearby teams that host. College of Charleston and Clemson also have active programs. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions as well. I hope Wofford continues to have a team. They've been a good, consistent presence on the circuit for a while.

Brown hosting a high school tournament would be so good for the New England circuit! (If you meant high school tournament.).asakiara wrote:I'll be at Brown University next year! Playing, and maybe even pulling a tournament together.

I'd like to second Nick's comment! Speaking for what I believe is the only active Rhode Island high school team (possibly the state's first ever?), Brown hosting a tournament would lend so much credibility to an activity most schools around here don't even know exists. Especially with PBS's High School Quiz Show RI hosting its first season this past year, now's a great time for RI high schools to get a taste of Good Quizbowl.asakiara wrote:I'll be at Brown University next year!
